Racing had the honor of being part of the celebration of the 30th aniversary
of Nissan Research & Development's presence in the US.
Nissan
Research & Development is located in Farmington Hills, Michigan. We
were helping to celebrate the 30 aniversary of NRD's presence in the US.
NRD has been involved in the Quest, the Frontier and many other projects.
Over
1100 people attended this celebration that included food, music, dancing,
and lots of great Nissan cars and trucks.
Included
in the celebration were our SCCA E Production 1973 Z Racecar, most of the
Nissan "Dream Garage" cars, a display of Nissan and Infiniti
98-99 vehicles, over 15 240Z thru 300ZX's from the Indy Z Car Club and
the 1989 GTP ZX-Turbo, the 1994 300ZX Turbo GTS, the 1996 Bonneville Salts
Flat "World's Fastest Truck" from Nissan Motorsports.
We
were proud to be there showing our support and giving away autographed
flags and photographs.
It was quite obvious that the Z spirit still lives in the folks at Nissan and I was instructed that we should "Keep the faith".
